As we count down to the swearing-in of the winners of the 2023 general elections, one of the most outstanding men to watch out for in the federal House of Representatives in terms of making sure his people get their dividend of democracy is an All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, House of Representatives elect – Dekeri Anamero Sunday, representing Etsako federal constituency. A humble and noble philanthropist and a gentleman to the core, a man of honour with the well-being of his people at heart, and is set to ensure that his constituency, Etsako federal constituency, gets everything they deserve.
While the Easter celebration was going on when other politicians would use their time to go on vacation or just take out time to socialize, Honourable-elect Sunday Dekeri popularly known as Danco, embarked on a ‘thank you’ tour to the palace of royal fathers, elders, party chieftains and the entire people of Etsako federal constituency.
Going from one community to another, Anamero covered the length and breadth of his constituency, presenting his certificate of return as a member of the federal House of Representatives-elect to the royal fathers and supporters in appreciation of the massive votes they gave him at the poll.

During the tour, Anamero stopped at Egheleso, Warake road Auchi to commission a transformer he facilitated, which was one of the promises he made to them. He also made a stop at Ibie-Nafe Auchi, where he laid a brick foundation for a modern market and also promised to build at least one stall or shop according to the designed prototype of the market, which he said was in honour and memory of a woman who was there for him at the start of his business career about thirty years ago. The woman is also the grandmother of the royal father of Ibie-Nafe, Momoh B Iyaso Oyarekhua the 2nd.
The high point of the tour was the reiteration of the promise to make thirty-two youths millionaires spread across the whole of Etsako federal constituency. The selection, he said, should be based on merit, transparency, and credibility.
Some of the people that followed him on the ‘thank you’ tour were Gani Akokhia, the Honourable-elect Edo state House of Assembly representing Etsako west-2. Barr. Ahmed Waziri, representing Etsako Central, Hon. Azeez Donald Termor, former chairman of Etsako west local Council, among others.
As Honourable-elect Dekeri Anamero Sunday moved from one community to the other, he received loud ovations and cheers of solidarity and satisfaction, which shows that he is a man of the people.
